HK Chronicles: Hello Kitty Train Station

My experience in Hello Kitty exhibit at Langham Place would always be treasured. I wasn't able to visit Mickey and Friends in Disneyland due to the bad weather, so my friend and I decided to just drop by Langham Place mall and shop and check out this street market called Ladies' market which is just nearby.

So as continuation to my Hello Kitty picture from my previous post, here are some of the photos taken from the "Sanrio Train Station".

A sweet welcome from Hello Kitty herself!

1960s themed Hello Kitty train! Dear Daniel is actually standing at the entrance! Hahah

You can go inside this train and pretend like you're actually riding it! Kids and kids at heart would surely enjoy this mall quickstop!

That's all for tonight, we'll surely update you with my HK Chronicles soon!

Time to hit the haystack! ZzzZzz

Travel 2013 OOTD

I don't really do #OOTD (outfit of the day) posts or pictures.

Well a lot of my friends and girls on Facebook and Instagram take photos of them wearing their "look of the day", but I have never tried posting one...or if I did, I didn't quite nail it! hahah I'm not a model or fashionista and I guess I will never look like one so as much as I could, I controlled myself posting stuff like these (LOL) I just don't like flaunting too much of what I have and wear and whatever other girls would feel like getting annoyed or envied or probably amazed (I doubt though). oopppsssieee

But since I'm a blogger, I would like to share these stuff for you all.

So I'll show some of my OOTD or "look of the day" when we had our short trip in Hong Kong and Macau.

Defaults:
1. Borrowed my mom's MCM vintage bag; such a classic.
2. Montego Bay sandals because the weather was so unpredictable; prepped up for a rain or shine trip around the city.
3. Terner bling leather watch.

First day:
Zara cardigan, Cotton On classic black glasses, short dress from a thrift shop, MCM bag, Montego bay sandals, Terner watch

Second day:
H&M beaded cardigan, H&M skater cut floral dress, MCM bag, Cotton On vintage-look glasses, Montego bay sandals, Terner watch

3rd day:
Aztec dress from tiangge, MCM bag, Montego bay sandals, Terner watch

Travelling is fun but kinda stressful (especially managing your luggage weight), so I suggest you bring classic useful things you could wear and pair with several pieces you have. One bag, one sunglasses, one watch, one pair of shoes would do as long as they would look good with the clothes you already brought.

Mini dresses are also essential in travelling. Aside from its stylish look, it would save some space from your suitcase because you've lessened bringing heavy jeans, denims, shorts and skirts with you.

So next time you travel, grab those essentials wisely to have a fun-filled,stress-free and fashionable trip here and abroad!

Ciao!
Xoxo

Hungry Tummy!

Check out my hungry tummy faves this past week:

First at hand, Bacon Mushroom Asparagus pasta from Pancake House, my favorite from them!!! This is quite heavy though, eat it for heavy brekky or full-packed lunch, no no no for dinner! Haha

Pistachio Chocolata (did I get it right?) from CaraMia

Love the flavor! Liked CaraMia's cakes and desserts (well that's really their forte anyway) kinda 'bitin' lang for their main courses (pasta and rice meals).

Found these awesome "palaman/spread"  from robinson's grocery:

Bravo's Artichoke & Spinach Spread for Php225.00. Perfect for pate and breadpan and breadsticks!

A cheaper version of Trader Joe's and Lotus' Speculoos Cookie butter:

Belgium Treasure's Biscrips for Php270.00! I would say this is a good buy as well! It's as yummy as the 2 abovementioned brands and 50% cheaper. I just needed to taste the "nutty" and "crunchy" feel more with this, but in total, I can recommend this cookie butter for you guys who find it difficult to buy Trader Joe's and Lotus because it's limited and most of the time out of stock! Haha

Coffee indulgence and a little more...

Starbucks coffee has sustained its brand and advertising gimmicks through the years. As a coffee-drinker and lover, I know I should not miss freebies, promos, and little things from coffee shops like Sbux that surely would bring lots of fun-filled coffee experience and surprises!

Cute small plastic cups for water or prolly an espresso shot!
I just wish they offer shots in small packages like this cup haha pardon, I just
find happiness in simple things.

Starbucks card is still available! You can get yours at minimum of Php300.00.
You can use it right away and enjoy upcoming surprises and freebies.
Find out more here: Starbucks Card
Oh before I forgot, I found this cup when I went to Lucban, Quezon last summer and now I can see it in some market places (prolly coz plastics are not allowed anymore in some cities like Makati).

 A Starbucks-inspired cup:

Slippers, Slip-ons, and Sale--sss!

On my way to the optical shop to get my new specs, I saw this pop-up sale for Grendha, Ipanema, and Rider slippers at RCBC Plaza. They do this usually at the end of each season. I've seen sales like this a couple of times before with other brands and products, but never really had the chance to get or buy one...and I finally had my pair!

ipanema flip flops

Moments like this, expect people (especially moms and girls) clamor for that discounted pair of slip ons! hahaha oh well, who wouldn't like discounts, right?

So here's the simple Grendene Grendha Slip ons I bought for Php570.00 (normally, prices are at around Php1,500+++). It actually looks like "Filipino bakya" slippers/ wooden clogs. It's simple, comfy, and you can even use it on semi-casual, semi-formal occasions.

Visit the stall until Friday August 30, 2013 at RCBC Plaza (near food center area).

All night, all-nighter

Oh good Lord, help me please!

I used to be a pro all-nighter! Well, back in college I had no problems sleeping way too late the wee hours doing stuff for school. I still can, at work!!! But then, now? Like doing stuff for grad school at night is such a struggle and I don't know what's the freaking problem! I just couldn't put my shit altogether!

Can I just pleaseeeee, stay up all night?

What to do? What shall I do?

Lazy buzzy

Despite the heavy rains these past few days, I still managed to go out...attended errands and yeah, what's the best part pf going out? Food-hopping! Well I'm not really a food critic or a "food-choosy", i actually eat anything as long as there's no ketchup or mayo on it hahah

So here's my lazy rainy afternoon cheap delights this past week:

Whole wheat pasta with shitake mushrooms and asparagus in pesto sauce from Cafe Verde by Big Chill

I love Cafe Verde by Big Chill! They offer not only healthy options but delishhh food as well like this pasta! You can also choose between a regular pasta or the whole wheat one. It was my first time to try whole wheat pasta, and my mom and I agreed that there's something with it's texture that makes it a bit different with the regular one---which kinda affects the entirety of the pasta taste. But yeah, it's still delicious for me. I love pasta, I love 'shrooms, and pesto's always to die for so for less than Php150.00, this dish is an A+ for me!

Krispy Kreme's New York Cheesecake and Sola Apple

You can never go wrong with donuts. It's perfect for lazy afternoons and pair it up with a cup of coffee, juice or tea. I'm quite biased with this one coz since the day I tasted KK's New York Cheesecake, I've been faithful to it! Rarely eat other flavors, just this one! Hahah didn't like the Sola Apple flavor though, I mean it doesn't taste apple for me, more of water! Haha Should've had Arizona or other Sola flavors. Oh well, there's always a first time...and last time! Ooopsy doopsy haha

So yeah, what are your lazy afternoon favorites?

Forever RIO!

Happy birthday to one of my faves and hollywood crushes ever, River Phoenix! You're such an art genius--- music-wise, acting-wise, and a lot more! I love your advocacies and ideologies. It's just sad effin' drugs took you away too soon, just gone too soon, River! But you have made a mark in this cruel world and I know you're up there happier, singing your heart out, no more acting that you like earning lots of money for fame (you at the very least never was blinded by fame and freaking fortune). You'll always be remembered, your movies, your BEAUTIFUL FACE, your extraordinary wit and priceless acting.

XOXO from here to heaven and your loving stream!

Looking at our FAULTS! Hey-ho!

So who's excited for the movie adaptation of John Green's The Fault in Our Stars? Well as a huge fan of both the author and the book, my heart pounds every time I see pictures or hear news about what's new? and who's who? for the upcoming movie of TFIOS!

So seeing these make my heart go dub-dub-dub-dub

Young director Josh Boone will be filming this adaptation.
He directed 2012 indie film, Stuck in Love.

Ansel Elgort will portray the awesome Augustus Waters...
Shailene Woodley was once set on letting her hair grow as long as possible but now feels differently. ‘I know what it feels like to have wind blow through my wavy locks, and I am over-the-top grateful I get to share that gift with another,’ she wrote on her blog.
‘Work in progress but luckily, #itgrowsback !!!’ Shailene Woodley wrote after the hair transformation was complete.
...and Shailene Woodley will be Hazel Grace who recently cut her
hair for the girl with the Big-C role. Donated her long locks too to charity.
They're gonna be filming the movie in Pittsburgh later this month.
So yeah, I'm actually picturing the scenes now in my head. I can't wait! I'm sure this is going to be a hit especially for those who are hungry for something extraordinary story. Well, I just hope the essence of the book would still be there (I'm crossing fingers).
